Officer ranking system?
I have an idea concerning an Officer Ranking System, it would be neat to have different type of officers in any given guild, and have their rank reflect what they are allowed to do with in the guild. Something like only Captains can start GvG's, Lieutenant's can only recruit, maybe even a General who is second in command of a guild and can everything a guild leader can except bump him. Also limit the number of officers based on guild size, and you can also show your rank on your capes...the grey area that is under the neck like little gold slashes or something....god knows we can show everything else off. Anyways just thinking it would be neat to have a "command" structure

Search FTW. Find one of the five hundred other threads suggesting the same thing and just type "/signed."

It'd be great to have those ranks, but I bet there are much more important things to do than implementing a rank structure. Also, there's no need for stuff on the cape, it just adds to more discrimination of regular members.

I don't like the names you gave the rankings, but then again, they can be changed. Not bad I guess.

not necessarily ranks for each officer but atleas another level for say trusted members/senior members , corpral like somethign between officers an members and for example it would need 1 officer or 4 trusted members to start gvg or something like that
i myself am an officer (10 in our guild total) from the 98-100, still im really not into gvg but since im an officer i really have to go to gvg if im the only one around and too many ppl want to go for gvg,
it is better that "noobs" wont go on their own but in our guild officer job is taken seriously an officers do decide much more things than jst gvg, and this really is a position we dont let jst anyone in... this is where the trusted members would come in... ppl that officers trust not to RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO up completely an atleast try some sort of build instead of 4 henchmen could go for gvg on their own. now if guild doesnt want members to go gvg on their own they could simply not promote anyone to that rank

I dont like it, we have made all members of our guild an officer so they can invite people and such and give everyone freedom
if they implement the limit to officers/members ratio.....
baaaaaaad
also its just easier if everyone can do all that stuff anyway, if you dont trust a guy with some privalges, dont make them officer
(btw, our guild is like 15 people, so we can get away with all being officers)

LOL! A whole guild of officers? WOW!
You do realize that a guild of officers is dangerous to your guild's existence?
I like this concept. It makes complete since, that being the officer rank system. I have a guild and my computer went down, so I promoted the best officer to fill my spot until I fix it. If this kind of system was in existence already,I wouldn't have had to do that.

We've heard it before, I'm afraid. I know, this forum was originally where this thread was made, but being moved here, it is subject to the rules of Sardelac. This suggestion has been brought up many times before. It's a nice idea, but please bump an existing thread on the subject (if it's still relevant) rather than making a new one.
